The project envisages the construction of a cold storage facility, since the municipality of Negotin is an important raw material base of fruits and vegetables. The fruit is cultivated on more than 1,000 ha. Annual production: apples 4000 t, plums 1000 t, quinces 100 t, cherries 150 t, peaches 100 t, and pears 50 t, watermelons 5000 t.

Vegetables (onions, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage) are cultivated on 150 ha. The total amount of vegetables is about 2000 t.

The location for the construction of the cold storage facility is not defined. It is estimated that it should be located in the village of Karbulovo, or in the immediate vicinity, since most of the fruit growers are located in that village.
