The project envisages the construction of a facility for processing and storage of fruits and vegetables, since the municipality of Knjaževac is a large raw material base of fruits and vegetables.

The municipality of Knjaževac is the 4th largest municipality in Serbia and has 17,508 ha of agricultural land. There are 2,693 ha under fruit trees and vines, out of which 2,100 ha are in full yield, and about 573 ha are young plantations.

The largest areas are covered with the sour cherry trees - 1,877 ha. Vegetables are cultivated on about 400 ha

The municipality of Knjaževac is the largest producer of sour cherries  in Serbia with about 12,000 tons of cherries produced annually. Location for the construction of facilities is not defined. The municipality can assist the investor in site selection, land acquisition and communal utility constraction.
